Eficiência hospedeira de oito cultivares de bananeira a fitonematóides

Abstract: the host reaction of eight banana cultivars (musa spp.) to nematodes was assessed in a field experiment. three cultivars evaluated were members of aaa group (grande naine, nanic?o and nanic?o jangada) and five belonged to aab group (prata, enxerto, prata zulu, ma?? and mysore). all cultivars were infested by meloidogyne arenaria race 1, rated as efficient hosts. the aaa group cultivars and mysore were also efficient hosts to radopholus similis, whereas prata, enxerto and ma?? were not. helicotylenchus dihystera was detected at low density populations in soil and root samples of all cultivars.

Abstract: a field experiment with 'prata-an?' banana was conducted to evaluate the agronomic performance of tissue culture-propagated plants in solid or liquid culture medium and conventionally propagated plants. the experiment was installed in cristais paulista (20o23's; 47o30'w), planalto region of state of sao paulo (brazil). this region is characterized by a summer rainy season and dry winter. plant growth and phenology were assessed through periodic measurements of length and stem diameter of the plants until flowering. the incidence of diseases (cmv and panama disease) was estimated visually according to the presentation of symptoms by plants. the tissue culture-propagated-plants in solid or liquid medium showed initial growth and development more vigorous, precocious flowering and lighter bunches than those from conventionally propagated plants. there were no significant differences in the incidence of diseases and size of fruit produced due to propagation method.

Abstract: soil samples were analyzed with the objective of investigating changes on some soil chemical properties due to nitrogen and potassium fertilization and irrigation in a banana plantation. the samples were collected in a field experiment carried out on an eutrustox (latossolo vermelho eutroférrico típico) in s?o paulo state, brazil, during two crop seasons. a split-plot design was used with irrigation (micro-sprinkler) and no irrigation applied to main plots and a combination of four rates of n (0, 200, 400 and 800 kg n ha-1 year -1) and k (0, 300, 600 and 900 kg k2o ha-1 year-1) as the sub-plots treatments. soil ph, base saturation and exchangeable mg decreased with increasing in n rates. exchangeable k was significantly reduced after two crop cycles with a greater k depletion in irrigated than in nonirrigated plots. the effects of cropping on soil properties strengthened the importance of checking fertility (especially acidity, exchangeable mg and k) periodically in order to keep the sustainability of banana plantations.

Abstract: Com o objetivo de avaliar altera es em atributos químicos do solo causadas pela aduba o nitrogenada e potássica em bananeira sob duas condi es de irriga o, coletaram-se amostras de um Latossolo Vermelho Eutroférrico típico (Eutrustox), provenientes de um experimento de campo executado em Jaboticabal (SP) durante dois anos. Empregou-se o delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso com os tratamentos em parcelas subdivididas, sendo as parcelas principais constituídas por dois regimes hídricos: irrigado (microaspers o) e sequeiro, e as subparcelas, pelas combina es de quatro doses de nitrogênio (0; 200; 400 e 800 kg ha-1 ano-1 de N) e quatro de potássio (0; 300; 600 e 900 kg ha-1 ano-1 de K2O). A aduba o nitrogenada causou decréscimos significativos nos valores de pH do solo, satura o por bases e teor de Mg trocável. O cultivo de bananeiras, especialmente sob irriga o, determinou redu o significativa nos teores de K trocável do solo em dois ciclos de produ o. Os efeitos da cultura sobre alguns atributos do solo indicam a necessidade de monitoramento periódico da fertilidade, visando à manuten o de condi es satisfatórias para produ o, especialmente quanto à acidez e aos teores de K e Mg trocáveis.
MANUTEN O DE FOLHAS ATIVAS EM BANANEIRA-'NANIC O' POR MEIO DO MANEJO DAS ADUBA ES NITROGENADA E POTáSSICA E DA IRRIGA O

Abstract: Realizou-se um experimento de campo, em Jaboticabal-SP, com o objetivo de estudar a resposta da bananeira (Musa AAA subgrupo Cavendish)-'Nanic o' à aduba o nitrogenada e potássica, sob irriga o e sequeiro, durante duas safras. Empregou-se o delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso, com os tratamentos em parcelas subdivididas, sendo as parcelas principais constituídas por dois regimes hídricos: irrigado (microaspers o) e sequeiro, e as subparcelas, pelas combina es de quatro doses de N (0; 200; 400 e 800 kg ha-1de N) e quatro de K (0; 300; 600 e 900 kg ha-1de K2O). O bananal foi cultivado de acordo com as recomenda es atuais, tomando-se cuidados especiais com o controle preventivo de sigatoca-amarela e com o manejo da irriga o. Por meio da análise do número de folhas ativas (>50% da área verde) nas épocas da emiss o da inflorescência (NFE) e da colheita (NFC), do índice de durabilidade foliar (IDF=NFC NFE′100) e dos teores de N e K na folha-índice, avaliaram-se os efeitos da irriga o e da aplica o de doses crescentes de N e K sobre as condi es das folhas. Nos dois ciclos de cultivo, houve efeito da aduba o potássica e da irriga o sobre o estado das folhas (p<0,05). O NFC sob irriga o (7,2) foi maior do que sob sequeiro (3,8). Sob sequeiro, o IDF aumentou linearmente com as doses crescentes de K. Na segunda safra, estimou-se que raz es entre os teores foliares de K/N em torno de 1,6 (sequeiro) e 1,4 (irrigado) determinaram máxima durabilidade foliar (IDFsequeiro= 49%; IDFirrigado= 68%). A irriga o e o manejo correto da aduba o (evitar excesso de N em rela o ao K) demonstraram ser ferramentas eficientes para aumentar a longevidade das folhas na cultura da bananeira.
Nutri o mineral de popula es e híbridos de coqueiro (Cocos nucifera L.) cultivados em Bebedouro (SP)

Abstract: Avaliou-se o estado nutricional de sete genótipos de coqueiro (cinco popula es: An o Amarelo de Gramame, An o Amarelo da Malásia, An o Vermelho de Gramame, An o Verde do Jiqui e Gigante Brasileiro da Praia do Forte e dois híbridos: An o Amarelo de Gramame x Gigante do Oeste Africano e An o Vermelho de Gramame x Gigante Brasileiro da Praia do Forte), com 2 anos e 4 meses de idade, plantados em Bebedouro (SP). Com o objetivo de monitorar o estado nutricional das plantas e determinar os efeitos do cultivo sobre a fertilidade do solo, analisaram-se tecido vegetal de folhas com idades diferentes (folhas 4 e 9) e solo. Amostras de folha 4, em compara o com as de folha 9, foram mais eficientes para discriminar as popula es e híbridos de coqueiro quanto ao seu estado nutricional. As maiores limita es nutricionais dos genótipos em estudo foram as de zinco, potássio, nitrogênio e cobre. Aparentemente, todas as popula es e híbridos observados estavam adequadamente nutridos com fósforo, cálcio, boro, ferro e manganês. Como medida mais urgente para a melhoria do estado nutricional das plantas, recomenda-se aumentar a aplica o de Zn. Os principais efeitos do cultivo de coqueiro sobre a fertilidade relacionaram-se com a acidifica o do solo na área de aplica o de adubos.
Potassium fertilization for pineapple: effects on plant growth and fruit yield

Abstract: a field experiment with pineapple (smooth cayenne) was carried out on an ultisol located in the city of agudos (22o30's; 49o03'w), in the state of s?o paulo, brazil, with the objective of investigating the effects of rates and sources of potassium fertilizer on plant growth and fruit yield. the experiment was a complete factorial design (4x3) with four rates (0, 175, 350, and 700 kg ha-1 of k2o) and three combinations of k sources (100% kcl, 100% k2so4, and 40% k2so4 + 60% kcl). plant growth and fruit yield were evaluated. biomass accumulation of pineapple plants was impaired by chlorine added with potassium chloride. fruit yield increased with potassium fertilization. at high rates of k application, fertilization with k2so4 showed better results than with kcl. detrimental effects of kcl were associated with excess of chlorine.

Abstract: a field experiment was carried out on an ultisol located at the city of agudos (22o30's; 49o03'w), in the state of s?o paulo, brazil, in order to determine the effects of rates and sources of potassium fertilizer on nutritional status of 'smooth cayenne' pineapple and on some soil chemical properties. the experiment was a complete factorial design with four rates (0, 175, 350, and 700 kg ha-1 of k2o) and three combinations of k sources (100% kcl, 100% k2so4 and 40% k2so4 + 60% kcl). soil samples were taken from the depths 0-20 cm, 20-40 cm and 40-60 cm at planting and 14 months after. nutritional status of pineapple plants was assessed by means of tissue analysis. soil k availability increased with application of k fertilizer, regardless of k sources. soil chlorine and cl concentration in pineapple leaves increased with application of kcl or k2so4+kcl. plant uptake of potassium was shaped by soil k availability and by the application rates of k fertilizer, independently of k sources.
Pineapple yield and fruit quality effected by NPK fertilization in a tropical soil

Abstract: there is a lack of information about fertilization of pineapple grown in the state of s?o paulo, brazil. so a field experiment with pineapple 'smooth cayenne' was carried out to study the effects of npk rates on yield and fruit quality. the trial was located on an alfisol in the central part of the state of s?o paulo (agudos county). the experimental design was an incomplete npk factorial, with 32 treatments set up in two blocks. the p was applied only at planting, at the rates of 0; 80; 160 and 320 kg/ha of p2 05, as superphosphate. the n and k2o rates were 0; 175; 350, and 700 kg/ha, applied as urea and potassium chloride, respectively, divided in four applications during the growth period. response functions were adjusted to yield or to fruit characteristics in order to estimate the nutrient rates required to reach maximum values. the results showed quadratic effects of n and k on yield and a maximum of 72 t/ha of fresh fruit was attained with rates of 498 and 394 kg/ha, respectively of n and k2o. in order to reach the maximum fruit size, and to improve the percentage of first class fruit (mass greater than 2.6 kg), were necessary rates of n and k respectively 11 and 43 % higher than those for maximum yield. no effect of p rates was observed on pineapple plant growth, despite the low availability of this nutrient in the soil. the effect of n rates was negative on total soluble solids and total acidity while the opposite occurred with k, which increased also the content of vitamin c. high yield and fruit size were closely related to n and k concentrations in the leaves.
Atributos químicos do solo em vinhedos de ‘Niagara Rosada’ nas regi es de Jundiaí, S o Miguel Arcanjo e Jales / Chemical soil attributes of vineyards ‘Niagara Rosada’ in the regions Jundiaí, S o Miguel Arcanjo and Jales

Abstract: ResumoRealizou-se nos municípios de Jundiaí, S o Miguel Arcanjo e Jales, no estado de S o Paulo, levantamento das características química do solo em 93 vinhedos de ‘Niagara Rosada’. Coletaram-se amostras de solo, na linha e na entrelinha de plantio, entre 0-20 e 20-40 cm de profundidade, para as análises das seguintes características químicas: pH em CaCl2, matéria organica, P, K, Ca, Mg, H+Al, SB, CTC, V%, B, Cu, Zn, Fe e Mn. Os vinhedos amostrados foram agrupados em fun o da regi o de estudo. Constatou-se que os maiores teores de nutrientes no solo foram encontrados nas amostras realizadas na entrelinha de plantio, à profundidade entre 0-20 cm. Nessas amostras, encontraram-se teores bastantes elevados de P, Ca, Mg, Cu, Fe, Mn e Zn, devendo-se ao excesso de calagem e aduba o, n o levando-se em considera o os resultados das analises químicas do solo. As produtividades dos vinhedos n o se correlacionaram com os resultados das análises químicas do solo.
